Raynor Sufboards
Matty Raynor is the man. I met him a few years ago when I first came to college in Hawaii. Now I live at his house here on the east side of Oahu. He is like a Dad to me. He's an amazing shaper, always trying new things and pushing the norms of whats possible. Just the other day he brought home a board the same size as the one in the photo above but what looked and felt like a soft top. We both love trying new things and thinking about different ways surfboards could be altered. The above photo is me holding my current go to board. It's a 5'8 and good in just about any surf.

This photo was taken on a boat off the island of Tavarua in Fiji. This board sadly lived a short life. Just five sessions in and she fell victim to Cloudbreak. I dropped in on a wave, saw it was a close out and tried pulling through the wave. My board got sucked over and reappeared terminally buckled. There was no chance of saving. In a desperate attempt I pulled in to one last barrel, didn't make it and came up to see only one half of my beloved new board. Now the board resides with many other fallen in the Tavarua graveyard.
Seek's 5'6 DDR... One of my favorite models. The board worked well this day at a mushy left on the north shore.
